How to Set and Measure Goals

Setting goals is challenging, but keeping constant measurement of the most important ones is where we miss it

As your church grows, you will find out that it is very easy for the staff to get distracted with the day to day tasks. If you wait too long to try to get your arms around this, you will end up with a burned out staff that doesn't know what to focus on. We are actually in the middle of remodeling this process as we speak, but everything takes a starting point. I wanted to share with you our starting point of developing a process to set and measure goals that are focused on the vision and mission of our church.

The book, 4 Disciplines of Execution, was a great help in this process. We've since added some new strategies from the book Traction and Business Made Simple by Donald Miller.

I hope that this is a blessing to you as you focus your team. I've attached a large portion of Chapter 8 from my book "How to Grow a Healthy Church" for you to digest. It is attached in 3 sections due to size of files.
